About Jean-Pierre Petit :
President of the Cahiers Verts de l'Économie since 2009, he was previously Director of Economic Research and Strategy at Exane-BNP Paribas (1999-2008) and Deputy Director of Economic Studies at BNP (1995-1999).
A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, with a DEA in international economics and a master's degree in law, he began his career at the Banque de France (between 1986 and 1994) and was a consultant for the IMF. He is the author of several award-winning books, including "La finance, autrement" (Dalloz, 2005), Prix Spécial Turgot, and "La Bourse, rupture et renouveau" (Odile Jacob, 2003), Grand Prix Turgot for the best book on financial economics.
Jean-Pierre Petit has been elected best market economist six times in a row (between 2002 and 2007) at the Grands Prix de l'analyse financière organised by Extel-Agefi in France. He is or has been a columnist for Le Monde, l'Expansion, l'Agefi, Le Figaro, Banque magazine... and regularly speaks on BFM Business, Radio Classique...
