Economic Mission to Dubai

A visit by HSH the Sovereign Prince to Dubai proved an excellent opportunity for the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) to organise a promotional operation to the country, 26-29 November.

Fifteen business men and women from a wide range of companies in Monaco, joined representatives from public and public-private entities to participate in a packed two-day programme.

On Tuesday 27 November sector-specific meetings were organised between Monegasque and Dubai businesses.

On the Wednesday, the MEB delegation contributed to a Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry conference, attended by HSH Prince Albert II. At the end of it, a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at facilitating strategic cooperation between the two countries’ business communities was signed by MEB Chairman Michel Dotta and H.E. Mr Hamad Buamim, President of the Dubai CCI. In his speech, Michel Dotta congratulated H.E. Mr Hamad Buamim for his recent appointment to the position of President of the World Chambers Federation.
A visit to the Dubai Expo 2020 site concluded the day’s official events. 
Monaco Inter Expo attended this MEB cross-sector operation to Dubai with a view to the Principality taking a stand at the Dubai Expo 2020.

The MEB delegation comprised: Mirco Albisetti (Aton Green Storage/Frimo), Ruchdi Hajjar (Automobile Club de Monaco), Rainer Behne (Behnemar), Gilles Chironi (CHPG), Guy Antognelli (Tourism and Convention Authority), Espen Oeino (Espen Oeino International), H.E. Mrs Mireille Pettiti and Albert Croesi (Monaco Inter Expo), Sabrina Monteleone (Sabrina Monte-Carlo), Pierfranck Pelacchi (Société Monégasque de l’Electricité et du Gaz), Claire Gaven (Suisscourtage), Alexandre TRUEBA and Thierry COGNARD (Word Express Service).
