04/02/2025

The MEB, in coordination with the Attractiveness Unit, Monaco Private Label, the Embassy of Monaco in Switzerland and the Consulate of Monaco in Zurich, is developing its economic contacts in Switzerland to create new opportunities for its members.

One week after its first visit to Davos, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) continues its efforts to strengthen economic ties between the Principality and the Swiss Confederation. To this end, Guillaume Rose, Executive Director General, and Justin Highman, Deputy Director General, visited Zurich from 28 to 30 January.

The main objective of this visit was to identify new business opportunities and strengthen strategic relationships with key economic actors and counterparts in the region. These exchanges aim to lay the groundwork for an initial economic mission to Switzerland, particularly to Zurich and its surrounding area, in the coming months.

Guillaume Rose and Justin Highman were first received by Mrs Claire Louis, Deputy Director and Head of the Zurich office of the French Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This organisation brings together more than 1,000 Swiss and French companies, representing a network of 3,000 business contacts. A strategic partner for the MEB in its economic cooperation projects.

Among other key meetings, the MEB team was welcomed by Mr Raphaël Tschanz, Director of the Zurich Chamber of Commerce, to explore bilateral development opportunities. A key regional player, highly committed to the attractiveness of Switzerland's economic capital.

Finally, Mr Laurin Brüniger, Global Consultant Investment Promotion at Switzerland Global Enterprise, also shared his expertise on Switzerland's economic attractiveness, highlighting promising sectors for Monégasque entrepreneurs and foreign investment opportunities. Switzerland Global Enterprise is the official Swiss organisation responsible for export and economic promotion. This entity can also serve as an intermediary for MEB companies seeking Swiss partners and distributors.

This reconnaissance mission included a cultural dimension. The MEB and its prospects and partners attended the magnificent performance of Jean-Christophe Maillot's Romeo and Juliet by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. A prestigious event that brought together more than twenty guests from the networks of the Monaco Embassy in Switzerland, the Monaco Consulate in Switzerland, Monaco Private Label and the MEB.

The Monaco Economic Board thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting the Principality's economic interests internationally, with the aim of soon benefiting its members.
