The Monaco Economic Board joins the Alliance of Francophone Employers, opening up new international opportunities for Monegasque businesses

As part of its evolution into a Chamber of Commerce and its ongoing efforts to enhance services and expand business networks, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) is officially announcing its membership of the Alliance of Francophone Employers. This development provides companies within the Principality with new opportunities for growth and a broader international presence.

Designed to strengthen trade flows within the Francophone region, the Alliance of Francophone Employers unites 44 professional organisations, including numerous chambers of commerce. These bodies are distributed across 37 countries, representing over one million companies worldwide.

This membership is founded on a firm belief: a shared language genuinely accelerates exchanges, ensuring better mutual understanding, smoother decision-making, and the climate of trust essential for business development.

This strategic partnership will help to strengthen economic relations with the African continent, which is already closely connected to the Principality. It will also provide a powerful lever for building new direct links with regions where proximity is less natural.

This is especially true in South-East Asia, where the sixth Francophone Entrepreneurs’ Meeting (La REF) will be held next November. Organised for the very first time in this region, in collaboration with the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, it will bring together over 3,000 executives and investors in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This event will take place alongside the 20th Francophonie Summit, with a diplomatic delegation led by Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Government Counsellor and Minister for External Relations and Cooperation, in attendance.

In conjunction with this institutional representation, Guillaume Rose, Executive Director General of the MEB, and Justin Highman, Deputy CEO, will travel there accompanied by Monegasque entrepreneurs already active in the region. This marks a tangible step towards strengthening ties with these rapidly growing markets, in anticipation of potential future economic missions.

By introducing new business networking platforms and targeted international networks, the MEB is further refining its operations to better support companies within the Principality.

In this context, the MEB will soon be renamed the Chamber of Commerce of Monaco, a new official designation that will be submitted for approval at its Extraordinary General Meeting on 5 October.
