Successful operation with the attractiveness unit in London
On 21st and 22nd September, the MEB was present in London as part of an operation hosted by the Monaco Government’s Attractiveness Department at the Embassy of Monaco in the United Kingdom. This was an opportunity to showcase the Principality's strenghts to influential local figures, and to meet partner organisations with a view to an economic mission to the Principality in 2024.
The MEB - represented by Guillaume Rose and Justin Highman -, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and the Monaco Association for Financial Activities were welcomed to London by H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta, Ambassador of Monaco to the United Kingdom, as part of an operation organised by the Monaco Government's Attractiveness Department..
Following an initial mission to Brussels last June, this trip, led by Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Digital Officer for the Principality of Monaco, was aimed at strengthening links with the British diplomatic network and showcasing the Principality's strengths to influential local figures..
Over these two days, the Country Chief Digital Officer, as well as his team and all the partners, were able to meet with around thirty London-based entrepreneurs, investors and legal and tax experts wishing to develop a relationship with the Principality. For the MEB delegation, it was also an opportunity to meet with other companies, in particular the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with a view to an economic mission planned for 2024.
With almost 7% of the Principality's total resident population, the British community is one of the top 3 nationalities most represented in Monaco. As a major economic player at the European level, London is a priority destination for the coordinated actions of the attractiveness policy.
